MAPCO ENGINEERING Plant is equipped with special volumetric blowers for the circulation and compression process gas as well for the make-up air.

 

This type of machinery compared with standard fans installation has outstanding advantages and enables:

 

• very stable flow rate without any control system. 

• linear electrical consumption versus pressure drop due to catalyst aging. In fact blowers don’t require any kind of regulation to meet the increasing value allowing relevant energy savings.

• running with catalyst pressure drop value up to 2.5-3 times (without any reduction of methanol feed) compared to centrifugal fans. In this way the catalyst can be used for a longer time with remarkable economical savings.
