Feasibility Studies
Research & Development activities are conducted in cooperation with highly specialized companies, universities and institutes.
We also operates with specifically designed pilot plant to optimize running conditions and to generate information about the behavior of the process parameters to be used for the design of the full-scale equipment.
With this activity we help our Clients to better define the concept and scope of their projects, to evaluate options and alternatives, and to develop the economic analysis of the investment.
Engineering
Equipment Manufacturing
Engineering activities are developed with the most innovative and sophisticated software, i.e. Computational Fluid Dynamics, Stress Analysis, Integrated 3D Plant Design, focusing on safety, costs, constructability, operability, environmental impact, pollution rules, noise and vibration prevention.
Projects and process are verified with the Hazardous and Operability Study in order to detect and then prevent, every potential risk for the running of the plant whereas equipment are developed according to most recognized regulations and codes such as PED, ASME, AD MERKBLATT, NFPA, BS, ATEX, etc.
Equipment is designed by our engineers according to proprietary know-how, paying particular attention to efficiency, quality, depreciation life maximization and maintenance.
Equipment's manufacture is carried out - under our direct supervision and inspection - by highly-experienced and specialized companies that are certified by quality procedures that cover everything from construction to shipment.
As a further guarantee of the supply quality, all the equipment are certified by International Certification Bodies (TÃœV, APAVE, SGS, ITALCERT, etc.).
Erection
A 35 years experience shows that the lowest overall investment costs and the shortest time to start-up are obtained with the turnkey supply solution.
In this case the erection is carried out directly under MAPCO ENGINEERING full responsibility with accuracy and flexibility guaranteed by its skilled and highly experienced construction and assembling companies.
Our activity includes: soil surveys and investigations, setting up of field facilities and workshops, civil works execution, steel structure, piping pre-fabrication, assembly, equipment and machinery installation, electrical and instruments installation, insulation and painting.

Commissioning & Start-up
All equipment, machinery and instruments are factory pre-tested and calibrated whereas most of the circuits’ controls and inspections are executed in workshops.
Using such a workflow pre-commissioning and commissioning require less time and are more straightforward being mainly limited to the final testing.
Personnel Training
Plant Performance Analysis
Client’s operators make the first start-up with the assistance of our specialized personnel.

Client's operators are previously trained by MAPCO ENGINEERING in accordance to their needs and experience and in some cases training sessions can even take place on similar existing running plants.
MAPCO ENGINEERING can support its Client's also after start-up by means of a Remote Control System in order to give immediate assistance and to allow the operators to run the plant under the best conditions.

Catalyst Loading & Recovery
Plant Upgrade & Revamping
MAPCO ENGINEERING's philosophy is that the catalyst choice should not be a bottleneck for the plant performance and for this reason our plant is designed to allow the use of all the catalysts available on the market.
This is an important advantage because Clients are not linked to any catalyst suppliers so that they can always choose for the most advantageous one available at the moment on the market.
Since the efficiency of the plant is also assured by a careful loading of the catalyst both in terms of profile choice and loading operations, MAPCO ENGINEERING also provide a catalyst loading services.
Moreover, we will also repurchase our Client's spent catalyst in order to minimize the expensive management activity for the waste material and its environmentally safe disposal.
